BIOGRAPHIC STATEMENT
I was born and bred in New York City. The pace and culture of the city has had a profound impact on my work. I am married to Marilinda Pascoe, and I have two grown children, Tanya and Eli. I have painted for my entire life.
I am concerned with striving for a high aesthetic standard while, at the same time, attempting to reflect on issues that are of interest and move me. In this regard I consider myself a realist and a figurative artist. I am interested in reinterpreting issues in the history of the United States, primarily through portraits and other images that reflect our history.
I am also a practicing civil rights attorney specializing in employment discrimination, First Amendment litigation, criminal law, and advocacy of progressive issues and causes.
SCHOOLS & TRAINING
I am basically a self-taught artist. I have taken classes at Pace University, New York, NY and the New York School of Figurative Art, New York, NY
